But Did Novak Tell THIS to the Grand Jury?

The Freedom of Information Center blog has found a July 21, 2003 New York Newsday article which has the following quote from Bob Novak:
Novak, in an interview, said his sources had come to him with the information. "I didn't dig it out, it was given to me," he said. "They thought it was significant, they gave me the name and I used it."


Well that is in direct contradiction to this from the NYT:
"White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove told Fitzgerald that he first learned the identity of the CIA agent from syndicated columnist Robert Novak, according a person familiar with the matter.
